Getting started with RimFrost

Add RimFrost to your server, log in to the dashboard and turn on the modules you need.

Add RimFrost to your server

  1. 1Go to rimfrost.dk and click Add to Discord.
  2. 2Discord opens. Pick the server you want the bot on and approve.
  3. 3You need the "Manage Server" permission on the server to add the bot.
💡 You can also add the bot from the server list in the dashboard with the Add bot button.

Log in to the dashboard

  1. 1Go to dash.rimfrost.dk.
  2. 2Log in with your Discord account and approve in Discord.
  3. 3You land on Your servers.

The dashboard only reads your name, avatar and your list of servers. Switch the dashboard language with DA/EN in the top right.

Pick a server

Your servers shows the servers where you are the owner or have "Administrator" or "Manage Server". If the server has given your role access under Extra admin roles, it shows up here too.

  • Open opens the server’s settings. It shows when RimFrost is on the server.
  • Add bot opens Discord so you can add RimFrost. The page keeps checking for a few minutes and switches to Open by itself once the bot has joined.
  • Refresh fetches your server list from Discord again.

Turn modules on and off

Every module starts switched off. Turn on the ones you want. A module that is off ignores commands on the server, but its settings are kept.

  1. 1Open the server and go to Overview in the menu on the left.
  2. 2Use the switch on a module’s card to turn it on or off.
  3. 3Click Settings on the card to set the module up.

You can also do it right in Discord. This needs "Manage Server".

/modules listShows all modules and whether they are on.
/modules enable module:Turns a module on.
/modules disable module:Turns a module off.
/helpLists all the bot’s commands and which modules are off.

Several Discord accounts

Click your name and avatar in the top right to open the account menu. You can be logged in with up to 5 Discord accounts at once.

  • Click an account in the list to switch to it.
  • Add another Discord account sends you to Discord, where you approve with the other account.
  • Help opens the help pages.
  • Log out logs the active account out. If you are logged in with more, the dashboard switches to the next one.

When the bot is not on the server

If you open a server where RimFrost is not, you see an orange bar: RimFrost is not connected to your server. This happens if the bot was kicked, for example.

  1. 1Click Connect again in the bar. Discord opens in a new tab.
  2. 2Add the bot to the server again.
  3. 3Go back to the dashboard. The page checks by itself and opens the server as soon as the bot is back.
💡 Your settings are kept for 30 days after the bot left the server. If it comes back before then, everything is as before.
