Achievements
Members unlock achievements by chatting, reacting, talking in voice, using threads and boosting, with roles or XP as rewards.
Getting started
- 1Turn on Achievements on Overview in the dashboard.
- 2Open the Achievements page, adjust the ready-made achievements or make your own.
- 3Click Save at the bottom.
- 4Click Publish. Only now does the bot use your changes.
The ready-made achievements
A new server starts with six achievements, which you are free to change, switch off or delete:
- Chatterbox: send 20, 100, 500 and 1000 messages.
- Reaction Master: react to 50, 250, 1000 and 2000 messages.
- Pull Up a Chair: 10, 60, 300 and 600 minutes in voice channels.
- Thread Starter: create 5, 25, 100 and 200 threads or forum posts.
- Join the Conversation: take part in 10, 50, 250 and 500 threads or forum posts.
- Rocket Fuel: boost the server.
Make your own
Click Single achievement for one achievement with one requirement, or Tiered achievement for four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond. You can have up to 50 achievements.
- Name (at most 60 characters) and Description (at most 120 characters).
- Icon: the emoji the bot draws on its badges.
- How do members get it?: the activity that counts.
- Count (or Minutes for voice): how much it takes. With tiers, each tier must need more than the one before.
- With Upload your own badge you use your own picture (PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP). A GIF can be at most 256 KB, larger stills are scaled down. Use the bot’s badge switches back.
The switch on each card turns an achievement on or off. Server progress shows what share of the members have unlocked at least the first tier.
How counting works
- Sends messages: every message counts as one.
- Reacts to messages: each message counts only once per member, however many reactions.
- Spends minutes in voice channels (with at least one other person): minutes only count while at least two people (not bots) are in the channel, and never in the AFK channel.
- Creates threads or forum posts: every new thread or post counts as one.
- Takes part in threads or forum posts: each thread counts once, the first time the member writes in it.
- Boosts the server: unlocks when a member starts boosting. It is only available as a single achievement.
/achievements.Rewards
Each tier can give one or more rewards:
- Give role: the member gets a role.
- Remove role: a role is taken from the member.
- Give XP: up to 100,000 XP in Levels. If the member levels up, the Levels reward roles are given too, as long as Levels is on.
Extra settings
- Send "almost there": when a member reaches 75% of the next tier, they get a message about how far they have left.
- Deadline: after the chosen day, activity no longer counts. The last day is included (UTC).
- Own unlock message: uses your own text for this achievement instead of the default message.
Unlock messages
Under Configuration, choose in Where is the message sent?:
- In the channel where it happened. Voice and boosts do not happen in a channel, so Fallback when there is no channel is used, either as a DM or in a specific channel.
- As a direct message (DM).
- In a specific channel.
Write the text under Default message. You can use {player} (mentions the member), {player.name}, {achievement} (with the tier in brackets), {tier} and {server}. Turn on Embed to add an embed with Title, Description and Color. The message always includes the badge as a picture.
Commands
/achievements member:Shows your achievements and progress as a picture. Pick a member to see theirs./achievements-reset member: achievement:Resets progress for a member, an achievement or both. Pick at least one of them. Needs Manage Server by default. To start over completely, click Reset all progress at the bottom of the page and then Press again to reset. The achievements themselves stay.
